Tried SEUS, no joy there! Mem card seems to be reading OK still today, it only seems to have an eppy when I try doing something with it, like connecting the phone to the PC.

When I do this, the phone asks whether to go into phone or USB mode. If I select USB mode, it starts the process, then will just hang with the screen and keypad lights on, meaning I have to take the battery out. Once powered up again, the mem card won't read properly until it's been removed and re-inserted a number of times. There are a couple of other little bugs and glitches so I think I'll have a go at re-flashing the phone.

I've been out of the 'flashing' loop for a while, what are the best sites/programs for re-flashing? I don't suppose it can now be done for free, if not how much does it cost? Think I'll remove the nasty Voda firmware off the phone too, debrand the bugger. I wouldn't be surprised if it was that which was causing all these problems!

Just reflashed the phone using TotalGSM, so far it's all working great, and debranded the phone too! It cost me €10 but it was worth it.

Cheers for you help everyone, just debating whether to get that money of the person who sold me the phone or not.

Cheers for that. This is a known bug in the se phones. Flashing the phone has, most part of the time, fixed this.

Actually, I was a bit premature - It seems the mem card problem hasn't ben fixed! Will have a go with some compressed air, suspect it's a hardware problem now

is this happens to another card too?

Have just tried another card with the same result again.

I tried the compressed air in the slot, a drop of WD-40 and it's still not working properly. However I have found that if the phone is left alone it continues to read the card, tapping the phone a few times and it stops reading it.

So it seems to be a card reader fault only works if you don't move about or jar the phone too much!

I'm returning it now, shame as I rather liked the phone!
