I have downloaded all the relivant files but when asked to rename Alaunch.rsc to Alaunch.r in my C: folder it isnt there. I have looked in the Z: and Alaunch.rsc is there.
Has anyone got a guide for doing this? Maybe the guide I have was typed wrong?
Regards
James

That file is located in the Apps folder inside Resource folder.

Yeah sorry I should have mentioned that. I have looked under C:, Resource, Apps but I dont have that file on my P1i.
The only place I have it is Z:, Resource, Apps but the guide tells me it should be under C:

What's the file extension in c:\\resource\\apps? .rsc, .r27 etc.?

Go ahead and copy the alaunch.rsc file from the rar/zip package that you've downloaded to c:\resource\apps. I'll upload the original/default alaunch.rsc file out here in a minute.
Don't forget to copy the other folders in the rar/zip file to the respective folders on the C: drive. (eg: c:\private\10202be9).
Btw, are you trying to setup the locked or unlocked version of the mod?
Edit:Default Alaunch.RSC file for backup/archival
Detailed instructions copied from the walkman_mod rar file:
1. Check in c:\resource\apps what extension have the files that are there (e.g. rsc or r27 or r16 or whatever)
2. Change the extension of the file alaunch.rsc to the one you've seen above from selected pack (unless it's r27 or rsc)
3. Go to c:\resource\apps and rename file alaunch.r** to alaunch.r, so you'll have a backup
4. End Main Menu (with Swiss Manager Pro or sth, if you can't - check in options)
5. Copy contents of chosen MOD type (locked/unlocked) inside selected phone model (m600 etc) to C: drive on your phone
6. Restart your phone
To retrieve the original menu:
1. End Main Menu using SM
2. Delete the files that you copied
3. Rename alaunch.r back to alaunch.r** or copy the original alaunch.rsc file to c:\resource\apps
4. Restart phone.

Have just done this and it worked a treat. Just going to make the @ side button open the Walkman player and maybe do the camera mod as well and I have a full house of mods.
Ohhh I did the locked version of the mod. Reason being I didnt quite understand what advantages I would get from doing the unlocked version?!?
