Some how I corrupted the 8 gigs of my w960. It is inaccessible through the w960's file manager. I was wondering if it was possible to recover it. I've tried reflashing with SEUS but that did nothing.
I'm thinking of finding a way to format the 8 gigs with my pc or whatever, then formating through the phone.
The error message I get after the phone boots is "memory corrupt D:"
But I have high doubts that it will work. Anybody know of a way to fix this?

Dear Friends,

I had this same problem when trying to install my Route 66 system. The 66 needed to format the memory card so I allowed it and bammm ... Corrupted Media Memory.
I've done a search through the net and found that the Nokia N series have the same problem with their hard drives, and one of the guys says to format the card using Windows format software, so I gave it a try and ... VOILA, I have my media memory back !!

Connect the phone to the PC using the USB Cable

Enter in Quick Transfer Mode (otherwise you won't see the Media Memory)

Go to My Computer (In my case letter J: Media Sotrage)

Click with the right button

Format (Now here's the thing, since this is a Symbian OS you HAVE to format in FAT32 system, otherwise it won't work and you may have more serious problems then you have at hand now, and in regular mode, NOT quick format).

Let it finish the formatting and ... VOILA, you have a new media memory.

Hope this helps coz my heart has been suffering all day long thinking I had to dismantle my phone and buy a new media memory.

Cheers.
