another update.
The sound on the speaker is just too messed up. Almost as if it's not 'tuned'
The trebble is too high and the base is too low.
I'm going to reformat the phone and see if that does the trick.

I'm just posting these as they come.
I'm pissed off that the N96 can't play WAV files... that's what the N95 saved my audio messages as in high quality..

I don't want to hijack your thread, but I have a decision to make.
I can get either the N95 8GB, or N96 for free, on contract, here in the UK. There are no pro's or cons regarding price. What one should I go for? |

hmm, if it's me, I'd go for the n96 if it's free.
Otherwise N95 8GB

See review of this on Phonearena.com. The camera pics looks sharp bright and colourful though. |

You mean like n73's? where the treble was too high n bass low.

Since u lot are going on about higher MP if 8 is on its way and u say 10 may come from Nokia whats stopping them from launching 12MP that would be at paths of Digital cameras.
Digital cameras would still have better sensors and lenses.

@Missuk, working on it. Would you like pics of the actual phone?
@djin, I'm sorry I haven't used an N73, but I guess this must be an issue with the firmware.
Here's another gripe, when you copy the pics over into the same folder structure, the n96 doesn't care. It doesn't display them in order in the gallery.
With the N95 to n95-8gb it was a smooth transfer over, with the N96 I'm having to put alot of effort in.
So far, just transfering stuff over and sending texts and phone calls made the phone die by 10pm.
Also, alot of apps don't work with it like Windows Live messenger, and even Nokia's own Nokia Chat!....

@spikey
yes you can organize your messages into folders.
edit: sorry you mean each contact? You can do that with an app which groups a person's messages to each other.
@missuk, I took 10 million pics
Got some nice comparison shots
