Although it has dual CPU's I dont think the OS can make good use of it. Multi-Threading(running multiple processes on seperate processors) support is available only on Symbian 9.5. I wonder how they're implementing it on the N96, maybe 1 processor for multimedia and the other for application?

Agree, until we get decent sensors comparable to digital cameras it is a waste of time to keep increasing the mega pixels.
Agree 100%.
re: thread topic, I think N96 is a side-grade not an upgrade to N95.

For upgrading to this after a N95-2 its crazy. If u havent had either of the N95's then its something u should probaly have. Its a pretty much useless phone Nokia have spent more on adding a tv feature that cant be used as of yet, larger mem capacity which of course is gonna use that the battery prob be no good if u were use it as a iPod lol! Hence this why the casing looks cheap they have added useless features to it. Since u lot are going on about higher MP if 8 is on its way and u say 10 may come from Nokia whats stopping them from launching 12MP that would be at paths of Digital cameras. Nokia are quite un-exspected when it comes to phones maybe they have sumat coming there not letting us know about |

I have this feeling too that Nokia is about to unleash something revolutionary within the next few months. I remember the N95 came was announced around December, maybe another monster of a phone this time around.

Digital cameras would still have better sensors and lenses.

@djiin, it's actually faster than my 8GB, but I'm transfering over 4gb of songs and photos now to test that properly lol.
I do notice that the default tons are TOO low.
After I did a sync, the loudspeaker is also TOO low.
What I do like is that if you slide it to show the media keys it's a media player. Flip it so that your left hand is on the D-Pad and it's for games.
I mean it's a nice phone, but for the money I spent. I feel like it was a waste. I was too hastey.

Here's something I've just discovered, the plastic on the screen is actually a screen protector.
I was annoyed with the fact that the Nokia logo was printed on it, but it's printed on with that silver 'scratch' stuff like you get on game cards.
Quite smart!

I'm annoyed that the Barcode Scanner has been removed and Windows Live Messenger doesn't work on the N96.
