@Rashkae, i don`t accept that the 7650 looses in every comparison, as it wins outrite in th "biggest unexpandable memory phone with the smallest screen" competition.

Two more things from me.
First about the clock, why didn’t they do the little icon down to the right in PDA mode to a real clock? I mean it has pointers but they are always showing 10 over 12. Use it for a real clock instead. But hey that’s not that important!
The thing about the phone I think is the most stupid is the use of the scroll weal. I it works fine and so and 4 directions is nice. But have anyone one of you tried to play some java games on the phone? There are lots of games out there for nokia/simens like snake, pacman and so on. To play this game you have to use the pen and tap on the screen which is very annoying. But the most annoying thing about it is that it works fine to go up and down whit the weal but for left and right movements you have to tap the screen. So please SE add an option in control panel so that the user can deactivate the weal when hi or she is using MIDlet programs. Please!

regarding the 2 comments above:
Clock... seriously...looks like an apple to me. I would've liked a small digital clock instead, like on the Windows taskbar. We wanted the analog clock on the T68i, NOT on the P800! Silly SE people! hehehehe.
Jog-dial in games... this should work like a 4 way directional pad... or at least allow us to remap buttons! We don't want to wear out the touch screen! |

@jplacson : The small analog clock at the bottom DOESN'T move !! it's just a logo. And it's then no use.. It would have been better to have real information here, as a analog or a digital clock giving exact time... |

Syncing error between p800 & Outlook 2000:
P800 reminders are an unknown entity in Outlook therefore the reminder is created as an 08:00 to 08:00 apointment, which is acceptable, but this is done every time the calender is synced - I now have 21 apointments for every reminder - not good, and the new apointments are synced back on the P800 next time over - also bad.

What about ringtone voume with stereo headset connected... I'm using the default (polyphonic) ringtone and whenever I have the stereo headset connected the ringtone volume is way too low! With an ordinary SE headset or no headset connected it is loud enough... And yes I've set all voumecontrols (standard, headset, car) to max...
I've emailed SE bout this but still no real reply... just talking about the volume sliders which are all already at max
Great initiative to put this kind of list together!

Hmmm. I have had a couple of dropped calls too - usually after about an hour or so during a conference call.
However, with regard to the other party not being to hear you - be sure to check that your palm isn't obstructing the microphone, if you are using the handset rather than a earpiece. In case you hadn't noticed, the microphone is at the bottom left edge of the P800, on the bottom - almost exactly where the phone would rest in your hand if you were using your left ear... I found myself blocking it several times during the first few days when I was using it. You will occasionally also hear a high-pitched feedback sound when that happens - similar to when you try using the phone directly after turning on the speakerphone...

Ok. Here's a new thing they shuld fix:
SyncML over Bluetooth. The white paper says the phone syncs over BT, IrDA and Cable and uses SyncML. But it don't work. I tried making an app that connected the way the SyncML docs says. But the phone just drops the connection.

I experience some of these bugs as well, but they're not enough for me to not be happy with my P800. It's worth every cent. Remember, SW bugs are the EASIEST to fix. Hardware INADEQUACIES are not.
If you'll be happy with the features (or lack of), size (the thing is actually BIGGER than the P800), and the design (talk about F-UGLY!) of the 3650, by all means, buy it.
If you're expecting the 3650 to be the answer to the P800's shortcomings... well... hehehehe... let's just leave Nokia users alone shall we? (Oh, and let's not forget the puny little screen that the 3650 comes with) |
