Hey everybody,

I dropped my phone in a puddle and the screen stopped working, i then ordered a new screen and installed it. Everything works, sounds, picture, light vibration, talking. but i can't charge the phone, i connect to charge it and for however long i leave it too charge it says either 0,1 or 2 % charging, and then when i take the charger out it says that i have a low battery. Is this a problem with the battery or the phone ?? (there were no problems with the battery before i dropped it in a puddle.

Thanks

Your leads would have got corroded.
Buy a IPA Solution and use tooth brush to clean the PCB.
IPA stands for ISO Propyl Alcohol.

hey, thanks for the reply but the connections on the battery don't look corroded, they actually look quite clean, but if the connections in the phone are corroded then there is no way that i can clean inside there, even if i take the panels off.

Not referring to the battery thing.
You connect the charger lead to the port on the phone, that port is in turn connected to the PCB by a lead , those leads would have got corroded.
Open up the phone , there is a disassemble guide.

there is no lead there, the bit where the charger plugs into the phone is glued/screwed straight onto the circuit board.
