W200 has a very bad screen.. no contrast, no clarity...
I have a k510... is it possible to interchange their screens....
I can manage the hardware part but would I need to make any change in the
firmware???
I have managed to interchange their speaker, vibrator, mic (just for fun...) and it was successful and without any change....
Experts please suggest....

well, the k510's screen has 262144 colors while the w200 is 65536. i guess it wont work because of this. but, give it a go. nobody knows.

i dont think it has different dimensions ... both phones have the same structure...
What I am really concerned about is that would it affect my phones software (I dont want my w200 or k510 to be DEAD...)
If i get an assurance(with reasoning) that my phone wont die with the operation, i'll go ahead and do it |

You can try if the display can fit into the W200. If not, don't use power... Just put it in the connector gently... Then upload the K510's default display driver to your w200 in ifs/settings/display.

got it!!! finally did it... exchanged the w200 and k510 screen... display drivers also exchanged... both working fine...

well i havent got any "before" pics coz its already changed now.. the new one has the k510 lcd so its just like the clarity of k510...
i would suggest to every w200 user to get a new k510 screen and replace it with the old crap one...
Why did SE put such a bad screen in w200??
it is a low end phone but the price difference wont have been that much between a good 65million colour lcd and the one that w200 has... |

@vatam2.. you just cant use the k510 display driver in w200, you will have to change the w200 screen to k510 (i mean the hardware) then only u can put the k510 driver in w200...
anyways, u can download the driver from
