^^^ Wow, great help.
Skull Candy headphones are probably better than your Walkman ones, but in no way are they good headphones, if by good you mean really high quality. A girl in my design class used to work for them and she refuses to use them because she knows they're pretty average. In her words, "crap".
They are just fairly average consumer headphones, and they just happen to be popular with the in crowd right about now.

id recommend them for the bass lover.
i wouldnt say they are too much better than the earphones, which are just re-branded sony earphones.
i like my music, and to me they are, um, crap, imho!

UE,Sennheiser, shure, bose. These are good headphones.
I love shure out of all, but bose IE3 is my present headphone which gives a lot of bass for the price i got it and a compensation for not having clear or mega bass in my phone.

We had some Skull Candys on demo in our shop and they really are shite. The problem for me being everything I listen to is at full volume. To handle this I use Sennheisser HD 212 pros. Cheap enough to replace if I break em and the sound is amazing - even at full volume. If you are they type of person that really cares about how you look, then get sum Skull Candies and join the flock of sheep having a stylish bad audio experience!

Agree with you.... Sennheiser is better... Shure and Bose are even better than Sennheiser but much more expensive...

I personally wouldn't touch them
If you're after some excellent cans check out Denon AH-D1001s or Creative Aurvanas (Same thing really -= the creatives may even be cheaper?)
