1) can i use same themes/games/apps from my K800i
2) is the battery the same as K800i
3) what gps software can i use in G900, i've heard tomtom works, is this true?
cheers.

Several gps apps are working with G900 you can choose...
In fact, you cannot use the same themes. G900 uses .utz extension themes (symbian themes) instead of the .thm K800 ones...
And the battery life seems to be good.

On the subject of apps & games, sadly you won't be able to use anything that's specificaly written for the K800i, unless they are JAVA applications - and even then you may find that they are incompatible due to differences in screen size etc. You'll just have to try them and see.
There is however, a growing list of mods and freeware for UIQ3, so you should be able to find decent replacements for what you'll be missing
As Ares says though, if you've never owned a smartphone before, you're going to be impressed, and well done for skipping the W960 - there have been many complaints about it on these boards since it was launched.
Welcome to the Symbian section btw |

Yes indeed. I also switched from K800 to P1. DB2020 to UIQ3 and I'm satisfied with it so far.

it seems that noone answerd nr.3
yes ,the batteries are the same ,BST 33.
if you have the first K800 revision ,that comes with a 900mA ,the next revision had a 950mA.
G900's default battery ,still a BST 33 950mA.

Best thing I've read ALL day! Totally agree.
But I'm in a different Symbian OS camp . Everyone has their preference and the P1i is a good phone, I just couldn't deal with GPRS max speeds here in Toronto as our 3G bands are different than Europes. |

The G900 is great. You will find it the best of all previous phones you used.
