Took me months to decide and now I did on my very first Nokia S60 device and now this? I got the phone on
Saturday...now I messed around a bit and decided it was time for an update since I read online it was out.

Now...I came home today, fully charged my phone...started updating. It
said 3 mins left...then suddenly my phone turns off and the software tells
me:

I followed the instructions...took battery out and tried to turn the phone
on...now it hangs and all I see is a black lighted screen which won't go
away. I am so saddened right now. I updated so many of my Sony Ericssons and never had this happen before. Now I fear the worst and I brought this from the U.S. to Jamaica having bought from Newegg.

I will keep trying to turn it off and back again but damn why did this
happen? What can I do? Please help.

Thanks.

The same thing happing to my friends N82 black today, this is only 2 days old. We did some homework and last we end that it should be taken to near Nokia Care Center because there are nothings left that we can do and we’ll take it tomorrow to Nokia Care Center.
You should contact to your nearest Nokia Care Center.

I brought the phone to Jamaica. I am not sure those exist here...will check.

Newegg already says I can't return it because I do not have the packaging. They sent me to Nokia.

Been hearing about this Phoenix 2008 flash program that handles "dead" phones.
