Dissapointed with K850i, considering N82 or better. Plz advice. |

Hi guys, I need advice.
I'm really not impressed with my current K850i (Velvet Blue). I've only had the phone for 2.5 months but its not living up to its expectations. I've enjoyed using the phone's features, like the Flash themes and all the other cool features, up until now. Firstly, after I bought the phone I bought a 4GB microSD memory card and all was going well but now I've used almost 3GB of the memory and the phone is starting to respond slowly when I play any videos or listen to music. Sometimes it even restarts on its own or when I surf the web. I thought the phone could handle up to 8GB so how can it be unable to handle 4GB?! Secondly, the Camera sometimes doesn't respond when I take a pic or when using the BestPic function. But now I've considered changing the phone for a better one or similar, can anyone plz advice on which phone to go for? I was thinking of going for the N82 coz I've seen that many N82 owners aren't complaining about their phones when compared to K850i owners and the phone has great features just like the K850i.
Advice would be much appreciated. |

Maybe I'll have to wait for the C902 but I'm not quite sure if it'll be hitting the shores of South Africa anytime soon. The current 5-megapixel phones in SA are the SE K850i, G700 & G900; Nokia N82, N95; LG Viewty(KU990); SAMSUNG G600, G800, F480 and U900. So that's the only options I got for now. |

Get the N82 simple. My mate had the k850i and beleive me that phone was utter tripe. You know what i mean when i say it had teething probs withs its camera ability, touchscreen is a hit and miss affair, AND NO BLOODY VGA RECORDING. Now when u go over to N82, these probs disappear. Trust me when i say u will love the N82. I am by no means a Nokia fan, i was as a matter of fact a staunch SE buyer, for the simple fact that SE made the best phones in their respective classes. But after the k850, and later releases they've gone pretty down hill. C905 might bring up their stock a notch but C905 still lacks VGA rec. While certain other phones in the same 8 meg class will have vga rec. Most notably the samsung INNOV8.
But I digress, the N82 is wonderful, brilliant screen, coupled with the best 5 meg camera in mobile phones in the world, accelerometer, stereo speakers, 3.5 mm Jack ( Nokia headphones supplied r crap, I use my w810 hpm 70 ones with 3.5mm ext, brilliant earphones), GPS, brilliant mp3 player all combine to make this the best mobile phone in its class.
Couple more things how would u like to play racing games on your PC with your bloody mobile phone as a Bloody steering wheel. No i dont mean the d pad i mean the actual phone, tilting the phone left to go left, right to go right, etc, etc. Believe me u can with the n82 when u use it wit a piece of software called Niime to wireless control the game via bluetooth.
Hope that hlps |

Wow! That's even more brilliant!! I'm definately going for the N82 coz, man, I've owned a couple of Nokia's before and always had a smile on my face but ever since I've got the K850i, my smile kept disappearing... And now I don't have love for the K850 anymore...
But thanks again mate. |

Plus with N82 if u are into keeping fit like running, cycling stuff like that. Theres an app called Sports Tracker ( One of the best apps ever made for a phone) which basically tracks ur runs, what route u took, how long it took u to finish ur run, the altitude of the terrain, what tracks u were listening too, how many calories u burned, steps u took. Plus u can upload this to google earth and see your actual route with all the aforementioned data.
For fun there is an star wars light saber app, which basically means u hold ur phone like an light saber and swing it and it makes ur phone sound like a light saber. it is not perfect but when it does work it sounds cool.
Now can a k850 do this i don't think so, will the c905 do this not bloody likely. |

This is really interesting. I guess the N82, you're really getting exactly what you paid for coz with the K850 the only nice thing I liked was the great looks, the auto lens cover but when it came to apps and all other things like GPS, some of those features are not bloody there! The problem with the SE, I think, is that they focussed too much on the Camera and forgot about other cool features like for example, the GPS. When you look at it, the K850 should've been the best phone out there with not just camera but also with the features too, but once again Nokia wins again. I beleive the N82 is the way forward for me now. |

I also got a K850i and my friend has a N82. I seriously have to say that the N82 is a gr8 phone not just the camera but with Symbian 60, you'll surely expect to get the most from your applications. The N82 mostly has pluses, not just with the camera but also with the fantastic applications make the N82 top notch! I say go for the N82 |

For now N82 of course! Better camera for all scenes, good video record, good programs for Symbian, Wi-fi, GPS (Garmin cracked and Nokia Maps hacked) and more... Be happy with N82
Love or hate me...  Nokia 5120 -> Nokia 6120 -> SE T200 -> Motorola V800 -> SE W800 (stay with my wife) - > SE K800 (stay with my mom) -> Nokia N82 Silver -> Nokia N82 Black Edition - Firmware v30.0.019 -> What is the next??. |
