None of the Sony Ericsson phones can be infected with mobile phone virus. It may happen you to get the memory card infect with pc virus which will make damage to the pcs connected to phone (via usb cable) but won't harm the phone at all. The k550 you mentioned for e.g. is a java platform based phone which cannot be infected as it does not work on any operating system. Even the SE smartphones (uiq) cannot be infected although they are running symbian operating system. Their symbian is located in the EROM (editable read only memory) which is not reachable by 3rd party apps which group are the viruses too so they cannot harm it. Plus symbian s60 viruses for example, cannot work on symbian uiq platform or java.

I hope this helps you.
