My T650 is better, with decent AF 3.2 megapxl cam.
Now this with a higher index, and a non AF cam, laughable imo!

It's not T650's successor, you know. The W980 has a higher model number than the W902 but which has more features (well, a better cam, at least)?

Just because they do have lower spec though, doesn't mean they should.

I agree. But can you imagine how much more a Vertu would cost with 8.1Mp A/F Optical Zoom camera, Blutooth 3.0 +EDR, Wifi b,g,n, Dolby Digital Audio, 80GB Hard Drive and 16M colour screen? Scary prospect...

IMO if you can afford a Vertu, you can definitely afford those extras, even if they are outrageously specced. Some people would settle for nothing but the best, especially for those who can afford it. I'm not one of them though.

Back on topic, I really like this phone, the combination of features at the price is very tempting. It's a little more expensive than a T650 but cheaper than a W890, alot cheaper than a W760, C702 and W980. The lack of front camera is a downside for me but the styling and HSDPA definately appeals.

IMO, the specs and features sound really basic. I think I've seen others in this forum who have said that it's not worth an upgrade unless you've got a very low end phone at the moment. I am definitely agreeing. There are some standard features that I believe is a must - a front vga camera for Video Calling is one of them. And I think this day in age, A-GPS should be part of the deal. These are standard basic things that other phone manufacturers have. Come on SE you can do better!

I disagree - a very low end phone has no camera or a 0.3Mp camera such as W200. SE's candbar midrange starts with 2.0Mp phones such as K530, K630/V640, K660 and G502 the specs of which are equal to or below the T700 except for the omission of a front camera, which as I mentioned is a problem but something I could maybe live without. I've been considering the T650 for a long time but need HSDPA. This fits the bill perfectly in that regard. In a small island nation like New Zealand, GPS is a gimmick I believe. It's only needed here by overseas tourists. I laugh when I see people driving to work playing with thier GPS... I can find North using only a watch and the sun, can you?

looks like patterned steel plating for front and rear, similar to w890i...

would be nice if they had gun-metal or metallic blue models

What would the stereo sound be like compared to my Nokia 6233 Handset?> I've yet to find a handset with as good stereo speakers as my 6233 handset.

Since Nokia is only releasing N-Series phones (I hate s60 and sound quality is still lacking IMO to 6233), I am looking at SE.

Thanks

I have feeling that this phone will be launched togedher with C905... But it won't get much attention since C905 wipes the floor with it.
