i dont know him actually, its only wat i read from him in his site,
but all wat i can see from him that he always attack SE ??
sometime i think he is right, but come on, not even one device from
SE he likes??
this is bit odd i think..
specially when he compared the C905, and INNOV8..
its like SE done everything wrong in this fone, and samsung, done everything right with its device, thought there is no much different in the specs..
and praised samsung cam, and was saying indirect way, that SE again messed up in the cam of C905, but all the previews we saw till now is very promising??
so, i dont wanna say like some ppl do , that he hates SE , all wat i wanna know, can we depend " ALWAYS " on his opion??
is he always right?? |

Eldar's reviews may sound harsh to people who are big fans of a particular company (i.e. SE/Apple fan boys/girls!), especially if they always read his reviews of their favorite company's handsets and never bother about the other handsets.

its funny really because about 3 or 4 years ago people were attacking Eldar for praising SE and criticising nokia.
i don't think he has any bias.
perhaps Eldar's comments and criticisms regarding SE are valid. after all, they are going down the pan, and they are making crappy phones, etc.

Dont believe all the crap you read here on Esato. About a year ago i called him a moron for all the right reasons and the so called "respected" members gave me a lot of flak for that. And now its the same members overly criticizing him for no reason. Typical fanboyish behavior. He does reviews the same way he did 3 years ago. |

Eldar has always loved SE, but lately his trust in SE has been slipping. He doesn't want SE to go down, so he is a bit after SE atm to open their eyes, and trust me they do listen to him.
Another thing you should know about him is that he bases most if not all of his opinions on prototypes that often haven't even been officially announced. This is of course not the best thing to do as prototypes often lack different functionalities or are at different software stages where some parts work better than others, across different phones.

i guess you can trust Eldar.
i use to think he was a SE fan few yrs back couse he use to praise SE phones...but that's coz it was true.
and nowadays there isn't much to praise abt.

Its my favourite mobile phone site but lately I'm beginning to get annoyed by Eldar. I don't mind him saying a few negative things about SE but at the moment he has nothing positive to say. The phones they are releasing are not as bad as he makes them out to be. I completely disagree with him about the W302 for example.
Also he cannot say anything wrong about Nokia. True, a few years ago he wasn't saying anything wrong about SE but he wasn't exactly attacking Nokia the way he is attacking SE right now. He needs to realise that a lot of people take him seriously and he is very influential so he really needs to become unbiased again.

i read almost all of his reviews for all phones,
wat i noticed maybe for the last 2 years, nothing from SE is good to him??
ok , we know SE was doing so poorly lately, specially in the high-end fones,
but i thinnk for mid and low, they did good job..
for example the K770, its really good mid range all round fone.
still it did not got that much complemnt..
so , that wat i was thinking, so many fones in 2 years, nothing was good??

Only if eldar does not express his personal issues on his particular reviews i will instead respect him more than i respect him before. his hands-own reviews isn't the best place to smoke out his emotionally loaded perceptions although the way he renders facts about the phones were neutral to me. so to sum it all, it's just that his mixing of facts and opinions were the things that annoyed me very often so he (imo) must sort it out and bring his grudges into dedicated forums instead and leave his review as clean as it can be
