This is a pretty specific question, but when using standard 3.5mm headphones(no microphone) w/ an n78, is it possible to listen to calls through the headphones and still talk through the handset mic?

I believe this would be very convenient, as I could be listening to music through my shure e2c's and still be able to answer calls without having to take them off or unplug them.

Thanks in advance!

Should be able to, whenever I've plugged a 3.5mm headphone or similar into an N95 it's always flashed up saying what mode would you like it to use, and I think if you say headphones it should then say it's using the phones mic.

Try it and see.
My opinions on this forum are that of my own and not of the company I work for.

Well I dont actually have an n78 yet, I'm still deciding whether or not to get one and this will help me determine if I do. I'm just a little wary of this because I found it a great inconvenience that I could not use standard 3.5mm headphones(thru an adapter) to listen to calls on my k850 while talking through the handset mic.

With my Nokia N82 it is possible to listen to calls through the other headphones and still talk through the handset mic. So N78 should have the same option.
