I know a lot of people will be after one of these if they become available on here so I thought I'd get this thread in before the rush!
Basically looking for the 16GB black version. Has to be new or close to new as possible (no cosmetic damage). If anyone gets one somehow please give me a shout.
Thanks.

Just go into an O2 Shop, Carphone Warehouse, or Apple Store on Friday, they'll be loads available. |

Also, it's all done by credit check in store before you leave now, no more buying it and walking out and doing as you please with it.
In other words, you won't be able to buy them 'without a contract' before leaving the shop, like last time.

Exactly, I aint paying for a second contract for one of these, I'm not that desperate for one!
I'm hoping someone on here "acquires" one somehow then I can buy it! |

the activation is the same whether you buy in store or online
in both cases, you sign up to the plan you want BEFORE you get the phone
then when you get home you connect to itunes and activate the iphone, as before.
The difference is that you don't get your mits on the phone until you have commited to a contract

Exactly right, just like any other phone contract. Seems fair enough to me
