Ehrm... If you're looking for phone just for taking pics, I would definatly not go for the P800. It's useless for taking pics indoors/not well lid places, and the viewfinder has an annoying flickering/snowing.
The cam is the one and only thing that really disappointed me with the p800.

You shouldn't expect a quality digicam in a phone. I always think that it is so unnecessary to use an integrated digicam in a phone. Because it extends the size and not so good quality. I think the only negative side of P800 is the integrated camera. If they hadn't used the camera in the phone , it would be smaller and cheaper and more useful. It's all because of 7650...
They need a several months or one-two years to present a quality digicam in a phone with small size.
If you want to take at least OK pictures with an OK price , then you should buy a Mustek Gsmart Mini2 or 3. It's cheap , too small(easy to carry) and much better than any integrated digicam. |

Buy a real digital camera. The p800 one is only for fun. It can take some good pictures outside but indoors it is not so good. |

That you can't take good pictures in low lit places is not actually the cameras fault and that doesn't mean that it is bad. I mean try taking pictures with a digital camera in low light and turn off the flash. All cameras needs light for good pictures. I think the photos I've seen from the P800 look pretty good. Of course they can't match my Digital camera. But that is pretty obvious, but it's good enough for MMS and stuff like that. |

Pictures look good enough for me for MMS or general use.
As most people say, if you want 'Camera' quality pictures you will still need to use a good digi cam or film camera. |

Have you placed the photos in correct order (low, medium, high)?

I hope so. I'll double chech tomorrow. I'm not in front of the pc now. I know the 640*480 images looks missplaced, but I think it is because my hand was shaking when taking the one with high resolution. |

What IS great is that you can email pics anytime, even when away from the computer. T68i and communicam is good enough to be useful in this sense.

Hello,
I've got a P800 and a N7650 and i must say that the N7650 is superior in every single point in the camerasection. The P800's camera is awful, it works for mms and so, but not a primary digicam, if you want a small digicam and quality, i bought the Sony DSC-U20 3days ago, 330$, but there is a model called DSC-U10, that is exactly the same exept it's 1Megapixel instead of 2, costs likle 250$
Good Luck

the reason why I wanna have good cam+cell phone in one are, first, I usually forgot to bring a cam when I go to like party or someone's birthday but I wont forget my cell.
secondly who would carry two things when going out all the time? since I had the GD88 for two days, I found that sometimes things happen, and I had my cell phone with cam, I could take a snap shot for a nice memory..... like meeting old friends, chicks, or even using it as evidence on car accident (touch wood)
you never know good things happen suddently. |
