No. The lens in a camphone is just a couple of millimeter in diameter, not only does this make the camera barely more sensitive than a pinhole camera, but also makes it extremely difficult to achieve perfect focus of the image on the sensor.

That is probably just one of the reasons why is slightly worse than

Well that makes sense. I've found that holding the camera steady is THE MOST important factor in getting a quality picture out of a camera phone. (or any digicam for that matter)

Infact this is often the problem with camera phone reviews: the reviewer often fails miserably and demonstrating the true ability of the camera by not concentrating on holding the phone steady while shooting.

I know holding hte camera steady won't always help, but not holding it steady will make it impossible to get any kind of usable results

Check the C905's review by Eldar at mobile-review.It sucks. Completely.I hope Mizzle can shed some light into the matter.

1)C905's build quality is crap
2)Speaker volume is pathetic
3)It will be a toalt failure, given the price of 500 euros
4)It looks pathetic
5)3/4th of the revirew was on how crap the pricing is and how big a failure it would be. He even went on to say that nokia would better get the capuchin into their phones coz SE would screw it

the pricing is disappointing but look at the W910. It was stupidly priced but it's now pretty reasonable.

That Mobile-review really lowered my enthusiasm. Plus they say that SE will have a 10mp released in 2009?

One such reviewer is Eldar. He always ruins his night shots.

Both phones show excessive noise even outdoors where the sunlight is strong. innov8 was at least saved by it's better(albeit darker) post processing. it only proves that even with the best mobile CMOS sensor around 8mp quality can never be comparable to 8mp CCD digicam quality as opposed to what GSMArena said.

if these 2 phones used CCD then it'll be more worthy for them to brag their 8mp labels.

The photo comparison in this article is almost useless. In most cases either the innov or c905 picture is blurry from camera shake, which makes it almost impossible to draw any real conclusions.

Overall I find the C905 pictures better, but I'm not really prepared to judge at this point.

To sum it up. both phones produces worse images than the ones found on top of the line 5mp phones imo. despite the N-R applied on both phone's camera processing we can still see that excessive noise visible around the outdoor pics of both phones(look at the bottom edge of the castle pic for example) .

also i don't know what's wrong with this samsung, but the images are way too dark. C905 colors are also superior outdoors (cybershot digicam like color quality imo).

Cummon..these pics are far worse than the ones found in the N82/zn5. The clarity is awesome and the C905 wins it for me. But,Eldar sucks in his reviews. He again spent a few pages totally busting the c905 and prasing Nokia in return.he praised the innov8 for pics for a few pics and bashed the c905 for no reason whatsover..

The innov8 pics are too dark and look too unnatural for my liking.

Someone please tell me..does SE lack in cam modules of the C905??
