Use Bluetooth PAN to access Mac or PC's Internet connection |

I'm able to setup my P1i and M600i to connect to my WinXP notebook using Bluetooth PAN, then by activating ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) on the WinXP notebook, access the Internet using WinXP's broadband.
This is especially useful when I'm traveling and only Ethernet broadband is available in the hotel. The best part is of course the ability to access the Internet without incurring expensive data charges on the phone.
However when I changed to a new Vista notebook, the same configuration no longer works. I'm still able to make the Bluetooth PAN connection between Vista and P1i/M600i, but no longer can access Vista's broadband Internet connection.
Does anyone know how to make this work for Vista?
Can the same thing be done with a Mac, so P1i/M600i can use Mac's broadband Internet?

I want to try the same kinda thing but via 3's 3G Usb Data Modem which is classed as dialup. |

This is what I did to connect my P1i/M600i to XP:
1. Activate ICS on the broadband connection (either WiFi or Ethernet). You will need to go to the Properties of the specific network adaptor. This will activate DHCP and Gateway functionality on the XP.
2. Manually set the Bluetooth PAN IP address to 192.168.0.1 with Network Mask 255.255.255.0. You also do this by going to the Properties of this adaptor on the XP.
3. Create a new Internet Account on P1i/M600i using Bluetooth Local (PAN). I've also tried using Bluetooth Internet (PAN) but didn't work.
4. Add this new Internet Account to the Internet Group.
5. Open up the Internet Group and change the priority of this new Bluetooth PAN account to "1".
6. Make sure P1i/M600i is paired already.
7. Open the browser on P1i/M600i and phone will connect to XP.
If anyone knows how to make the same thing work on Vista or Mac, please help. |

After several attempts to connect my k800 this way, I ended up with screwed up bluetooth drivers on my XP...  I just think this is not meant to be with me... I cannot connect PAN on my K800... I give up finally

I've got a usb data modem from 3 (connected at 4Mbps using their turbo network)and bluesoliel bluetooth dongle on xp home. |

Go to Control Panel > Network Connections, then right click on the "Bluetooth Network Connection" icon under Personal Area Network and select properties. Then under "General" tab, select Internet Protocol and click Properties. |

I never tried using a high speed dialup internet connection, but you should be able to share that connection by activating Sharing for that network adaptor.
I use a built-in bluetooth which came pre-installed with my Sony Vaio, so not sure how that is different from cluesoliel bluetooth dongle. |

Found Vista Bluetooth Network Access instructions at the following link:

That makes it possible to bridge your Bluetooth PAN w/ your internet connection, which seems to me, the only way to do it on Vista.
I'm messing w/ mRouter to see if that works also, might be simpler. Found mRouter at 4shared.com.
For XP, if you want another way there are the mRouter XP instructions at www.palminfocenter.com "howto-bluetooth-internet-with-windows-xp"

No unfortunately, I tried and tried the same thing til I was blue in the face. 
You can only use XP Internet Connection sharing with a Ethernet or WLAN connection. I'm looking for a Vodafone 3G wifi router and  EC400 card to make use of the data SIM card I used to have in my Vodem (USB data modem).
