WOW!!! If it's actually true and final X1 will have 256MB of RAM, then this is indeed a great step by SE...

P990's RAM, even after launching a year after it's announcement and lots of testing, delays and launching with bugs and insufficient RAM was the biggest mistake from SE as knowing that 64MB RAM was not enough for it they could have easily doubled it before it's lainch but that didn't happened...

But I am glad that SE did something right after sooo long... I wish I see similar upgradations in future phones...

I'm only saddened that this is a WM device by SE . While rumored news of Paris has gone DOWN in specs the past 2wks.

I love the op's phrase, Xperia & SE haters eat your wheaties (US users eat wheaties) you've got a LOT to do today lol. Loved that.

Im assuming that the X1 hater is me . Never hated it, just wanted a devie to be released late 2008 to have decent spes. And now the X1 does have it, and worth the money now. But lets see if Raphael matches it although i doubt it regarding the RAM, so I guess ill be buying the X1 now lol.

@askd
Exactly my thoughts. I think now I#ll get SEX1 too. (that sentence sounds a little bit funny)
One question that is left though is if SE is implementing the video drivers...?
Does anybody know it?

@Mizzle

What Video drivers are they then? and are you saying that the X1 will have VGA 30 fps in H.264 and not just in 3gp?

@WhyBE

Care to link to the new White paper? and just before you wet yourself i should warn you just because that is what an SE White Paper says it doesn't actually mean it. As its not a guarantee either as SE have a nasty habit of going back and deleting functions they fail to deliver form the White Paper later.

As i have always said i will wait for it to be released before passing final judgement which of course is the only sensible thing to do.

Marc

Marc,

Not sure about the driver's name, but I know it's there. Besides, states "HW 3D Graphics" as one of the features, so it's definitely there.

Video recordings are 30 fps @ VGA in either MPEG-4 or H.263, or 15 fps @ VGA in H.264. If you need any more details, I'm sure won't mind you downloading the white paper yourself.
