I dont know whats wrong. I've updated it to the latest SE firmware and i use sony m600i, i get full 5 bars while my w580i only gets barely 1bar at times. What can be wrong with it? and what can i do to fix it? thanks

Did you update it using SEUS?

no using xs++

it was at&t U.S. branded before.

this problem started happening evening before flashing it.

Try to flash with newer firmware if that also does not sort it out , it might be a hardware fault.

well i do think its a hardware fault... flashing to the newest se firmware didnt help one bit.

can the antennas be replaced easily on these things? is there is a disassembly instructions somewhere i can check out? thanks

problem fixed.


opened up the back top cover, and firmed up the antenna connector. i thought that was the problem maybe after looking at the sony disassembly guide, and sure enough it was.
