what do you think is the best se camera phone? is there any phone that "has it all"? and i mean mostly hardware features like xenon flash and lens protection, not software ones like bestpic or face detection. i'm searching for a successor to my k750i. |

looks as if K850i is the one, but K810i has been outstanding too |

the quality that k850 gives isn't that uch better then k810 imo. And you can change camdriver on k810 too. |

I think K810 or K800. Ok K850 is most megapixels but performance wise its shoddy. Too many megapixels in too small a sensor.

k800 or K810, & modded camdriver. gives the best pics your gonna get from a phone. |

Well, IMO, the only real good thing that K850i has against K800i camera-wise is the presence of the two LEDs along the xenon flash, for filming at night and the filming at QVGA, 30 fps. That's a great feature. However, the build quality of K850i is crap, in my opinion. Glossy surface, no external camera protection, dust gets on the lens and worst, the lack of a play/pause button... So I'm thinking of buying a K800i and modding it with K810i firmware.
I was thinking of the C702, but it lacks a xenon flash, and the low focal distance doesn't sound so good, I'm anxious to see it in reviews. |

i have a k800i flashed to k810, i don't really want to buy a new phone this year, the c702 also lacks loads of camera options and is missing 1mm off the focal length, i am thinking about buying a k850 but i don't want 5megapixels, lack of a lens cover is a serious issue i'm pretty sure i'll scratch the lens to hell or even brake it without a cover, and my most loved and most used play/pause button is missing. |

K770 as it uses Samsung camera module and doesn't have noise reduction

just got a k850i and traded my k800i for it, 2 weeks ago.. so far, i can say that i like the color reproduction of the k800 more (maybe thats because i always used modded camdriver, like ultimate's vivid and number one's driver)....on k850i the colours are just plain "real" colours.. BUT the reproduction of details, which are far away (like in landscape pics), is in my opinion better with the k850i...also lowlight shots without flash are a bit better.. the biggest improvement is definitely when taking pics with flash!.. while the flash pics taken with k800i, even with the newest modded drivers, came out somehow "waterpainted".. on k850i they look sharp and "real" very near to a stand-alone digicam..also the flash is stronger than in k800i, so group photos with many ppl in a dark area are finally possible.. on the negative i've to say, that the twilight landscape mode isn't that good... it's too dark and colours aren't reproduced as well as on modded-k800i.. i REALLY hope, that sometimes soon k850i will be hacked, so that someone will mod it's camdriver.. while at the same time i've to say the STANDARD K850i camdriver is much much better than the STANDARD K800i driver.. sony-ericsson have definetely improved in that department and did a good job. only minor tweaks are needed to unleash the full potential of the k850i's camera..

My main disliking of the K850 (besides number1's point about the lense cover and play button) is the purple fringing of photos.
For that reason I'm inclined to stick with my K800 for now.

probably k800/k810, but only because it has a more mature cam driver |
