indeed, it would be a big step backward. w880 has no good cam, smaller display etc

Well if you really are into music and don't use the camera much, then yes. The music player is much better than the one in K800.
But I'm still wondering why you don't go for one of the more recent offerings, like the W910 or W890? They are worth the extra pounds, imo.

well im 14 years old and i get my dad to buy it for me and i dont want to get him to spend loads on a phone , but i came across the w880i and saw it is only 99.99 |

So you want to buy the phone? As in not-swap it? Oh, dude no. I suggest you wait a few months till the newer models' prices have been lowered. Don't buy a W880 to replace a K800. |

Well it does have a better music player and looks better. If you don't use the camera on the K800, then yes, I recommend you swap it. |

I swapped my K800i for a W880i a while ago, i wanted something new.
I REALLY regretted it.
Stick with the K800i. Great phone.
