no matter how many phones sony will make one thing they cant change is the icons lol, seems like every single phone $20-$300 has the same menu same icons, just crappy looking in my opinion, but i guess the ones that are bothered by it can always change that i just wish they would make a new GUI already that a little more attractive.

Do I disagree with you? Oh, believe me, I do.

Does any one here care? Oh believe me, they dont.

By far the BEST professional looking clamshell SE has done to date. Loving that the screen is the same as the K850i.

My friend's 6233 has S40 UI and themes can change the icons sadly menu animations(should i call it modern eyecandies?) weren't supported

@vladn02
As for the A200 Menu UI, yeah maybe the good 'ol standard SE ui idea seen on K700 had not changed but please remember A200 natively supports flash themes, in case you don't know you can refer to C702/C902 review. the new menu feature has been implemented on the two new phones (which is not seen on older A200 phones like W910 and K850 although Z770 does not ship with flash themes on board i think this is not an issue, SE flash themes are abundant

I never see the menu icons. I put all the items I use often on the toolbar or the shortcut buttons.

My son's Nokia 6234 is compatible with animated themes but Nokia themes that use animated icons can be more than 1MB in size which is rediculous considering the memory card that ships with the phone is only 64MB!

phones, themes, and menu icons are much better IMO

Message from SE UK "We have no specific release date yet for this phone". Helpful!

Lol at least you know it will be soon! In NZ we aren't even getting this phone, and the phones that we are getting (according to the SE website which is often wrong) we never know when they will arrive! But we can guarantee they will be at least 4-5 months after they release everywhere else... It sucks.

I can understand the NZ situation... Well, the purchase guys told me the Black will be available as well.. This time it is really black, not just with black lines.

Yeah, I know carkitter and myself (both New Zealanders) are looking into Plemix.com for our next phone purchases. That way we can get any phone we want, and at very cheap prices! Then we don't have to worry about Vodafones stupid release dates and prices here.

The black one looks cool, I'd go for that if I were to get it!

Wanna ask about the screen, does it have "the ambient light sensor" that controls the brightness of the screen according to the lighting of the room?

I will be very glad if it DOESN'T have any. I love bright screens. LoL. [addsig]

The ambient light sensor? When I tested it, it really does not seems like it has any of them. I asked our guys and try to find it all over the places, it doesn't seems to has it. So I think the Z770 does not has it.

@Bobafett
I can only recall the keypad touch by memory. Since they are all flat (Metal?) based keypads, they feel very similar. However, I found the Motorola one always too hard or too strong to use as keypads. May be it is because of the Motorola strong build quality thing. The Z770 one is softer to use.
