Vodafones unlocking policy states "All pay as you talk phones are subject to a £19.99 charge for unlocking in the first 12 months. After 12 months we can send the unlock code for free."
This as I found out does NOT mean first 12 months of ownership or after 12 months of ownership.
What is does mean is in the first 12 months from the first time the phone was for sale and not from when you paid for it.
I just got myself a K320i from Tesco on Tesco vouchers.
That means from the first 12 months of owning it has nothing to do with having to pay the fee for the unlock code.
The K320i first went on sale in 2006 from what I see so that means even tho I have only owned my one for a few days then said phone is outside their first 12 months thing.
Their first 12 months thing is too confusing.
