I haven't seen much written in detail about the SensMe™ function in recent SE Walkman phones and it seems a lot of people are either unaware or misinformed about what it is.
Having had my W910i for a few days I thought I'd make a quick review.

It is posted here on se-nse, take a look and let me know what you think.

I'd be interested in how other people are getting on with it too. I think it is a feature with excellent potential which hasn't really been highlighted much.

Mik

I really don't use it at all.
when you have over 1500 songs then little dots would be a nightmare aswell as having to analyse all of them. However when i the one gig card then it was more practical, but like i said with an 8GB card and 1500 songs i really wouldn't want to try.

Well as mentioned in the review you can simply analyse the music on your PC, it doesn't have to be done when transferring. Once they have been analysed they are permanently tagged and can be transferred through Windows

On my pc there are over 5000 songs, and i wouln't go calling a 1.5 P4 a speed machine...

ive got 180 songs on the phone that have been anyalysed and yet i still don't find the need to use it.

i might just let it run for a few days...

ps. Is there any way to start a sense-me analysis, i can't find the option

In the Media Manager at the left hand side click once on the folder you want analysing to select it.
Now go to the options tab at the top and in the music options there is a button reading "SensMe Music Analysis".

I'm actually keen to get this option - hoping G900 will support senseme. I like the idea of automatic playlists based on the mood of the music

I get sick of creating playlists...

It won't.
SensMe is a Walkman exclusive.

Yes it is a Walkman feature for now at least and I'm not even sure if the W960i has it, just A200 Platform W-Series phones so far I think

K800 has some Walkman features that were in W800 but not K750, so you never know, senseme might make it to non-walkman phones eventually But probably not...

Yes it may be possible that future non Walkman handsets could have it but that will only be when Walkman v4 is released.

The K800i effectively had Walkman v1 like the W800i but only because Walkman v2 had been releasedin the W850i

what i understand is the sense me function in w910 connected with the same sensor like K850 using (motion sensor), so it should be possible to have sense me in K850 & G900/C902 with the right software...........or ????

marble madness using full 360 degrees motion sensor yes !!

From what I understand it has absolutely nothing to do with the motion sensor! Its purely a software feature dude.
