Two weeks ago i got my upgrade, i decided to go with the Samsung U600 because it was small and looked stylish, after the first few days i had noticed that the screen seems to scratch unbelievably easy but i thought no worries as it was going to scratch eventually anyway, this morning at work i was checking the time on my phone and as i went to slide it back in to my pocket i missed and it hit the wooden floor, i picked it back up thinking no biggy to find to my horror that the screen had smashed!! I'm only a short guy so your only talking about a drop of say 70cm, i just cant believe it my k810i had bounced down stairs and everything with no problems, anyway so to cut this short i'm back in the market for a new handset and would just like to know what you guys recommend

Wow...

Here are some phones you might want to take a look at:
K810, K770, K660 and K630.

Had the K810i last time i got a phone and wouldn't again due to the Joy stick problems (mine stopped working twice, had it repaired but by the 3rd time i decided it was time for something new, i went with the u600 as i was now due my upgrade.... BIG mistake).

The k850i looks nice but the D-Pad looks hard to use and it seems to have more buttons around its sides then it does on the face of the phone.

If you are able to wait then C702i or C902i are your choice (i strongly prefer C702i).

How about a BB Pearl, T-Mobile do some good BB deals, once you get used to the Suretype text input the phones a doddle to navigate, photos are ok but its no SE K series. But I find going back to a normal phone a step backwards.

Sorry I mis-read your post I thought you were getting it as an upgrade, where you'd get it for free, BB pearls seem to be expensive off line about £220 which is way over the top. I've vowed never to get another Samsung after I Have a screen break on a D900, far too fragile.

Hmmm £220 is a little bit more then i was willing to spend, i have another phone that started its contract 6 months ago, what are the chances of them letting me upgrade that to something different?

K770i? Awesome camera, does everything you need, nice and thin, and best of all, no annoying joystick!

Yeah, T650i is a beautiful phone and the screen shouldn't get damaged easily with its mineral glass. It has a pretty good camera too! Other than that, I'd say a K770i which is similar, but with camera protection rather than screen protection.
