Hi Chaps
i have a spare k800i that i use every now and again and today i switched it on and it went to a white screen and stayed like that for 10 mins, it wouldnt let me switch it off either so i had to remove the battery now it wont even power up.
is there any way of fixing this or do i have to throw it out.

to be honest never checked the ir port but the phone had no sign of life at all. no flashing lights |

i know, that's why i asked.
imo, either the battery's dead or the erom is damaged.

did you check what i said before? the red blinking light.
imo, you will need to upgrade your erom.

ok when i have done this then what do i do? do i go to the sonyericsson website and do a firm ware update? |

in order to reflash the eprom do i need to get credit and the firm ware from wotanserver? |

No credit, no firmware download as far as I remember. Just try and let see. |
