DonŽt know if this is the right forum or not so feel free to move topic.
I found a cell in the subway in Stockholm a while back, so I returned the phone to the police and after about three months they called me, saying that I could come down to the station and pick it up since the original owner did not.
So when iI start the phon it says "Insert USIM" so it has obviusly been locked, is there any way to overide this problem to get it to work as normal?
Ohh and btw it is a k800 SE of course and I have some experience flashing the entire system if it is necessary.

to me that sounds like a 3 phone (3 uk phones display that message when you insert a non 3 sim) and you need to unlock it
K700i > K750i > K810i (current phone)

Have you tried inserting a SIM?

It will need a 3 SIM to work unless you pay to get it unlocked. Even if you get it unlocked it will qite likely be blocked as the previous owner has probably reported it as being lost.

if u use setool2lite make sure you select bypass db2020 security (next to the phone model list) otherwise the patch wont work

Ok, it saying "Insert USIM" does not means its locked, hasn't got anything to do with it.
If it's locked and your using a different network sim in it, it'll just say something like "Insert Correct USIM".
Just saying "Insert USIM" means either the sim card, or the sim card reader on the phone, is faulty. Have it repaired under warranty and it'll be fine.
My opinions on this forum are that of my own and not of the company I work for. |
