Phone's good only if it was $200. I mean, it's missing out on some features even low-ends have. |

gee whizz..
how many times must we have this argument?
some people love the iPhone, some don't..
Different strokes for different folks...
if we all liked the same thing, life would be boring as!

Or there would be a nigh-creepy perfect harmony in the world. |

It's like comparing a super model to.....a high powered business woman? Different things, different needs, different wants.
And before anyone gets smart, I mean the stereotypical dumb blonde super models

all you need to know is..
the X1 runs windoze mobile..
there's enough cons in that to warrant not buying one.

wll I paid £360 for my 16gb and its unlocked and I can (and have) installed all sorts of apps, and filled it with music, music videos, video podcasts, pictures and stuff and still have nearly 1gb left
As I'm on t-mobile I do miss not having EDGE when out and about but wifi works great. Fortunately my aussie carrier TELSTRA do have EDGE so I'll give that a try when I'm home the week after next
I really like the speech balloon conversation style texting.
emailing could be better and I don't get why it doesn't clear the inbox when I've downloaded the messages to my pc like just about any other phone would
Safari is excellent, for once a better browser than windows mobile (even with spb plus installed) although a flash player wouldn't do it any harm. Also when I drag my fingers to increase font size it should remember that for the next pages I view but instead it reverts to the previous size meaning I have to keep zooming on each page.
camera is a bit basic but I've installed camera pro which adds zoom and a few more features (some of which are still "coming")
google maps is great though the locate me in 1.1.3 doesn't work because (as I understand it) the baseband hasn't (can't?) be updated yet on the unlocked ones
phone is crystal clear and I like the way the screen goes blank as you bring it to your ear, presumably so that you don't activate anything with your ear!
youtube app works perfectly
the ipod functionality is good but I can see room for improvements. e.g since I have 400+ videos why does it not offer the a-z selection down the right hand side for quick access like it does for music songs or artists...
also in videos, I only see about the first 15 characters of the title and since my titles are "Artist - track title" I often can only see the artist. it needs to reduce the font size when the title is longer
I won't say I love it but I am really enjoying using it and look forward to what they might do for the next generation
