I also notice I haven't got an option to turn off usb charging when plugging the phone in like I used to have?

Can't see SSX3 on my phone though?

That USB setting don´t remain when restoring a backup. You have to do manually again.

SSX 3 under Tools.

Found the USB charging option - its on the 'more' button now, used to be actually on the screen under the options for fast-connect etc.

No SSX3 under Tools on mine.

My phone today didn't want to accept or make calls or sms until I restarted it. This didn't happen with old firmware, so could it be a bug with the new firmware, or just a random error?

That's happened to mine once on the old firmware. When I tried to call it just kept doing the bar animation but didn't connect. I then found the off switch didn't work and had to take the battery out!

so i guess the bug remains, i assume, this also happens to be the bug with the speakerphone, not being able to sound after few days of usage and a restart will do the trick

i am eager to find the SSX now, since simon didn't have one under his

i just got my w960i yesterday when the new fw was released, i had a chance to play around with it pre update. I also have a p1i that i updated to the new fw last week. I've been playing around with both phones running the same fw and i can safely say that they are pretty much identical updates. Ive clocked both phones performing the same task (opening gmaps, watching videos, listening to music opening email, visiting sites thru opera & opera mini) and their pretty evenly matched as far as speed. SO if people are looking for in-sight to the new firmware check out the thread on the latest p1i fw update

The changes i have seen is:

- Camera now has the green square to indicate auto-focus
- Increased menu speed
- New SSX3 like others have mentioned

Nothing new in walkman as i can see and opera is still 8.65, was hoping they would fix the issue of the + appreaing when typing with predictive texts. Will let you know if i found out anything else that is new in this FW upgrade

Sorry - I just connected my W960 to XS++ 2.2 and found the scripts are already in there! Seems very easy to flash it!

Now - am I brave enough to remove the VF branding from a phone I've got on a 24 month contract (I assume my warranty will be voided!).

Cheers,

Derek.

i have managed to observe the following changes[m not really good with observations thou]:
1>Opera mini(seems to highlioght with black now, not really sure if this was part of update)
2>Opening time of multimedia files(audio n video) seems to be faster.
3> Camera has lost the green tint problem, but at the same time, the sharpness of image has been reduced, n brightness has been increased.
