Would be funny! Thanks mass!
NOT that I'm saying TyTN could/couldn't handle it...however, you know it's just a front end as well as I do......
Tbh, the comment was more about simlocks/branding - but we both know XDA Devs can come up with a lot more than just that, don't we??

it has gps!
and who knows, the 3.2mp may be comparible to some of the 5mp cam phones we have now. remember, mp just increases size, not always 'quality'

3.2 is perfectly good; the P5 will need a LOT more than just a 5mp cam to tempt people away from the X1.
My guess is that the P5 will break away from the more traditional P series lineage and be much more of a total multimedia phone - maybe it'll sport SE's first 16m colour screen, be much more video-centric, and have a totally redesigned "groovy" new UIQ interface. What it won't be is the business companion of old P series - that's now embodied by the X1. It's pointless for SE to be making business phones with UIQ when they've got Windows Mobile in their own arsenal - WM is simply better for business.

Its awesome. Whats your opinion on the camera though PK?
Stills/Video- I expect average stills, but very good 30fps video. Will the stills be anything like the K800i? |

'This morning I had my first 30 seconds with yesterday's announced Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional smartphone, Sony Ericsson will release later this year.
http://www.theunwired.net/?it[....]a-x1-windows-mobile-smartphone
As you can see in the video bellow, Sony Ericsson added their own user interface on top of Microsoft's original Windows Mobile user interface, quite similar what HTC does with TouchFLO.
This means that the user interface is present on the first level only and after all applications are based on Windows Mobile, as you might expect it anyway:'

'You will noticed in the video, that the device seems to be somewhat slow - sometimes. Sony Ericsson promised that this will be fixed with the release device, especially because the 520 MHz Qualcomm CPU should be powerful enough and Sony Ericsson also told me they will take benefit from the graphics hardware acceleration as available for Qualcomm chips.'

There are minor disappointments like 3.2mp (actually that's the only one I can spot right now, I'm not too fussy on screen colour as long as it's as crystal clear as my P990 which I'm sure will be outperformed by a wvga screen), but I think it's the sort of thing that needs to be sacrificed for the greater good, perhaps it might be too feature packed to be affordable. From my experience with Ericsson & SE, they've always applied quality components in their devices unlike some other manufacturers and if we expect them to start taking on this tradition again, naturally something's gotta give. Well I'm just trying to be rational again after flipping on the HSDPA-less G902.
