Put my P990 in the drawer for a while for a Samsung SGH-i600. Now back again as the Samsung has problem with Telefonica here in Spain.

After all new FW's the P990 is actually rather ok after all initial crap, it was really no good when it came out. For me its a work-thing, email (active sync), sms and making calls, maybe a photo or two but not much more - o'yes, using it with TomTom as well, working excellent (no good with Samsung - slow and to small screen).

Now I've ordered a P1 but takes a few weeks as its sold out in Sweden according to our IT guys.

Has P1 improved much on P990? What about the RAM-issue, is it faster between menues, P990 still a bit sloppy?

Any improvement on the search in contacts when making emails/sms, in P990 a lot of clicking, in Samsung & Blackberry you can just type the name and semicolon mulitreceivers and press search, it then searches local contacts first and then global contacts - anyone?

Or should I cnl the P1 and go for a Blackberry Pearl

I have to buy new 4gb memory card as I understand it, around 50 euro or so??

Appreciate any advice on it.

Thanks
