How I counter-screwed a scammer with Sony Ericsson P5i, lol (+ follow ups) |

lol, the scammer just sent me another email, apprently he went to the bank again, and Western Union got tired of him trying to withdraw money with that photoshopped receipt already, lol. Now he's suggesting Moneygram. Shall i troll him some more or shall I just forward the link to this thread?
here's what he said in the email:

we are tired of your money transfer problem ,
we cannot receive any money sent by you,
western union dont want to do business with us anymore,
you go back bank and tell them that the money is not available ok,
or you take the money and go to the nearest money gram office around you send the money to the benson olie ok.

Alright, so the scammer messaged me today and I broke the news to him! I pointed him to this thread, and to my surprise, he still tries to scam some more, lol. He told me to send $80 USD and he'll send the phone. Man, this guy is hopeless, apprently he can't read either, I repetiviely told him "THAT PHONE IS NOT RELEASED YET! STFU! LOL!" ... Unbelievible there are people like this out there, seriously dumb beyond believe!!

the only sad thing is there are people that still fall for these really obvious scams and really do send the money, otherwise they wouldnt bother trying anymore...
but anyway that was great and a good laugh!! |

I found this thread by searching on the scammer's name. I got suspicious about the $200-$400 price ranges of the yet unreleased Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 and contacted a couple of "vendors". They open up new "stores" almost every day under different names (unfortunately all found by Google Product searches). I found out at least 20 different stores and email addresses belonging to the same guy(s) and traced back the emails from Nigeria/Ghana. Payment address was in California or Greece, same names with different addresses, even though "different" vendors. In addition, I received a classical Nigerian letter email - a money offer scam - addressed to one of my pseudonyms that I never used outside this "phone deal". Thus, phone scammers and money offer scammers are collaborating by sharing contact information, or they are even the same persons.
(Now I am pulling a role of an angry Czechoslovakian phone buyer with really bad English, with one of the scammer guys): I asked photo of mobil phone! I ofered much $$U.S.D for sending mobil phone me. I told my freind send Westerunion money. If they no send me phone, I am send them Czechoslovakian evil curse! Baaaaad curse! =) (This seems to work with them, because they are not responding any more. Next I should come up with a curse, a baaaad curse, soon. Maybe I will send it to all 20 of their email addresses found so far.) |
