You guys might already know this but i was so impressed that i thought it was worth saying.
Last night i had a thought to bring my standard SE USB cable with me to the car just to try and plug my new p1i in.
My car stereo is a Kenwood with a USB port ( approx £100 ) and it's always been a bit hit'n'miss with card readers, portable hard disks and, in fact, it couldn't play anything off my old w850i.
Which is why i was ecstatically suprised when i plugged the p1i in and the unit popped straight into life in the music folder of my 8gb M2 card
Happy days!
As an added bonus it looked like the phone was charging too.
Soz if this is obvious but thought it was worth a mention. On the way into work i was listening to an audio podcast that auto-downloaded last night thru wifi.
Hooray for the p1i.

Ooh I'll give it a go with both my K790 and my W800 on my dad's JVC unit and see.

uiq3 phones can set the m2 card to a generic mass storage device. probably why your old w850i didnt work. |
