I bought one of these adapters. Connect and turn on speaker. works well as a miniantenna.

Why do you Make your post in the form of a STATEMENT of Fact instead of as a question? THis really confuses people who see that as a topic and hope to find a way to do something, only to find out you are asking a question.

Very frustrating....

Indeed, but it actually IS possible, even though the reception will be poor without an antenna. The only thing you need to do is to trick the phone sp that it thinks that the headset is connected, and there are several methods to do that; by a firmware patch, by connecting an adapter or a cut off fastport from a thrashed headset, or by shor-circuiting certain connectors on the fastport connector on the phone with a short wire and tape.

Disclaimer:
I do not know how the firmware is patched, and I do not know which contacts to short-circuit, and care should be taken not to short-circuitt the wrong contacts, since the phone may be damaged then.

Bloody hell. "Radio without headset is possible" is just a little misleading, god I had my hopes up there for a second. Don't state your thread name like that!

When I used a K800 I tried to manage it but didn't succeed. I didn't know anything about a modified firmware then.

But I think you should really ask yourself what the soundquality will be. As mentioned by other posters too, the reception will be very poor without an antenna.
I have no further questions... I guess...
