it seems that you have no clue about photographing

should we all take photography courses to use the k850? phone cameras are point and shoot. you aim and press the button. if the user has to change any of the settings to get a half decent picture, then the camera is a faliure

Those are solid pics, but the lighting conditions were good and you don't have picture to compare them by. Just look at the K850i vs K750i pictures. The K750i picture is WAY better than the K850i picture, the K750i picture shows much more detail DESPITE have 2,5 million pixels less. I don't have to know anything about photography (which I do actually) to understand that that it is unacceptable for a €400 phone to beaten by a €100 two year old phone.

The K850i pictures you post are nice, but you can't see how an other device would perform because you've got no comparable pics. You have SE K750i and SE K850i, let's show your fellow Esato members how much the K850i kicks the K750i camera's ass. But you don't do that, in stead you keep posting easy shots (sun + snow = bright colors, it's hard to make a bad picture in these conditions).

So until you post pictures taken by K750i and K850i in exactly the same conditions (no archive pics) in which the K850i outperforms the K750i, I will think of you as a fanboy who can't stand the truth, because in EVERY SINGLE review the K850i gets butchered by its competitors, even by the good ol' K750i (as can be seen on the previous page).

Please prove me incorrect. Really.

In indoor as well as outdoor k850 must be setted with document mode to show more detail, that’ s know for a certainly, how many time you take a pic in indoor with low/bad light conditions (like a neon)? 10%? 90%? I want to make good photo mostly in outdoor, and here give me a comparison with k750 or n82, i have already seen some comparison pics with n82 and k850 win for wealth details...
As Merkie2 said “Those are solid pics, but the lighting conditions were good and you don't have picture to compare them by”, i have not k750 to compare but those are solid with a lot of details...that’ s sure...

This thread is really sad... Isn't there anything else you want to talk about? Personally, I've given up posting here, since it was just a comparison on the first few pages and now it turns into a thread to blow out your frustrations about some phone. Whoever bought which phone, was bought based on someones PERSONAL preference. There will NEVER be a clear winner, each has it own, based on personal frustration or preference.

And really, this thread should be locked since it provided enough information to have part in any personal decision on purchase. Even if someone proves which phone is the clear winner (which will NEVER happen) there will always be many that would buy the other.

^^ It really doesn't, IMO. There is huge mass of this hp in the use already and since this forum is a dedicated one, mostly to of course you will find some bitterness and whatever problems about specific phone. Go to Nokia dedicated forums and see what they experience, or any other manufacturers, for that matter. (I don't say that K850i doesn't have bit more sw problems )
I have K850i and am very happy with it. No have any plans whatsoever to get rid of it. Had N95, have N95 8Gb, bought N82 for my father for it's simplicity in design and usage, features etc. but still like mine K850. If it wasn't for it, I would never come across this forum. Or at least not in this time. I think this is a great community and have good experience with some of the members here.
In this specific subject it is sad to see that there is no slowing down. It is a matter of personal preference, as said by many seniors and still of no use. Always same group of ppl. One that has the knowledge and know-how or are just informed well and provide some evidence; than one that is just plainly stubborn. Now, it will always be like this, but fighting over someones preference is tiring to read and to speak about over and over again. Especially in this thread.

just some thoughts Kenoby,

The Nokia forums does not attract the same animosity/hatred that the k850 threads do here. IMO, this resentment is completely justified. and the lack of FW update shows contempt for its users

This thread is titled "N82 VS K850", so dont be suprised by the type of discussions going on here.

true that alot of things are personal preference, but others can be measured against eachother. such as picture quality. the k850 has an inferior camera. that is undeniable.

I believe that has been already decided in a 'blind' test by GSMARENA. From the 4 phones the K850i come last Unfortunately -
Samsung has the best camera phone anyway - or do they not? One thing is clear thou - SorryEricsson has become a leader - in cheap phones (With the help of Sagem)

@dupet, Agreed on animosity point you made. Except for the camera quality. I have tons of pics from K850i that can prove you otherwise
Than my standpoint is proven but you will not be satisfied cause you favor N82. Ergo I stand right in my statement.
I am not surprised or anything, just this specific thread made me react. Don't mind me. I like plank and everybody very much...

i didnt start out favouring the N82. Ive been using Sony Ericsson phones since 2001, so ive always had a strong preference for them. but my experiences with the k850 has changed that.

are your clothes lines white-ish like in the first pic, or purple like in the second?
