What kind of a reply was that
You can use your fingers to point on the display, use the jog dial or make use of the limited amount of short cuts on the keyboard. Or of course get a new stylus!

i rarely use the stylus as i've got a screen protector, I use my thumbnail to find contacts or write text messages.
Odd reply buddy,
Derek.

I find myself using the inside top corner of my right thumb it falls perfectly on the back soft key, top right on most dialogue boxes, and I can also hit the soft keys at the bottom of the screen with the same bit of my thumb.
I must say that I find the scroll wheel and especially the back button both too low down the phone. I feel like I'm going to drop the phone as a result of cupping the bottom edge of the hone in the centre of my palm in order to comfortably reach both with my index finger. I end up supporting it with my left hand which sort of defeats the object, You might as well get the stylus out (if you have one) . This wouldn't be a problem if they had dispensed with the wrist strap loop and moved the scroll wheel up... and made it five way like the P910, sorry bit OT. I find my use of the stylus is limited to calendar and 'menu digging'. |

If you don't want to use the stylus or touch screen, why buy the P1i? I rarely use my stylus, just for calendar entries and the photo gallery but I do use my fingers on the screen ALL the time!

I actually never use the stylus.
My finger, when thinks are a little smaller my fingernail, and of course the jog-dial as well as the backspace and enter keys are all I need.
Might need a screen-protector though ....

I use it seldom as some of the icons are too small for my fingers, esp the shortcut from the upper left corner. Just yesterday mine got dislocated and I had to glue back the upper part.

"Y" for Yes, "N" for No on dialogs
"Return" for selecting the current item (lists/menus/etc)
"Left" & "Right" cursors on Messages are handy for changing between in/out/sent mailboxes
And of course the scroll wheel for changing selection
The browser also has a few shortcuts ALT+Key |
