Remember one thing that, it is important to have balance BELOW 10 rs.
U will have to get low balance.
When u have low balance, dont recharge your account!
Otherwise service provider will charge you!
Settings:
Data accounts/name- idea/apn-internet.

Internet prof/name-idea/conn Using idea.Save.Then select more and then settings.
Use proxy-yes.
Proxy add-10.4.42.15
Then save
Now what u will have to do, is recharge ur mobile with sms value pack.
Sms value pack is: 34rs and 150 sms free.
More like that.

By recharging ur account, u will get free msgs 4 one month and free internet too.
Proxy add. can be different by state. Call ur service provider.

you will have to ask service provider for your phones settings. settings for surfing internet on pc. not wap. |

34rs 4 165sms? Ufone offers 25rs 4 175 , 50rs 4 500sms , 75rs 1000sms. Valdity 30days.

Your suggestion works fine but if I try to "download" anything then Opera mini closes and my balance starts reducing when the download begins.
Also, is there someway one can surf freely on the PC?

I wonder how do you do it. As for me my gprs hase been free for the past five days.
Downloading from opera is not different from downloading from your moile browser because it closes the application and launch your default browsewr. Then from there the charges begin

if you use the Internet you balance will reduce even if it 0.....it eill go less than 0...eg -10
but nxt time you recharge they will charge you....
