I think there is a definite quality control issue with K850, since many people have had to take theirs back several times to get a replacment before they got a good one, whereas some people, such as plankgaton, got a good one from the start.

plankgatan I think you are misguided in your belief that ALL K850i camera's take pictures of the same quality as yours, THEY MOST CERTAINLY DO NOT, there are plenty of examples of poor pictures .

I cannot for the life of me see the point of having the AUTO settings on the camera as they very rarely give good results, tweaking seems the only answer to getting half decent shots and even then its hit and miss.

This has to be the most frustrating camera/phone I've ever owned due to never being able to use it as a point and shoot for random opportunity quick pics and surely that would be half the point of having a camera that you carry 24/7 otherwise id plan when i wanted to take pics and have my digi with me !

The two k850i's i handled had atrocious purple fringing, vastly inferior to the G600 i ran at the same time.
G800 with zero reservations IMO.

i realy give a shit if you/we/they buy G800 or k850....i shouldnt buy G800...it take worse pics then k850.....nearly all pics ive seen on Flickr.com looks blurry.

if you want a good camera phone....here is my advice:

1.
N82

2.
k850 or Viewty

(i had N82, but i send it back, because of the horrible D-Pad....it had terrible design & you press wrong buttons all time when you use it...but the camera is AWESOME..no doubt about that)

i still think the k800 is the king of the point and shoot phones, it has xenon flash whereas the k750 only has LED, the k850 might take great pics if you take the time to set up the settings for the image you are trying to capture but by the time you have done that whatever you were trying to photo has probably finished, i have many pics taken with my k800 and nearly all of them i saw something interesting took out my phone and took a photo of it, i can't do this with my k850

K750 takes great low light pictures with the camera light which is stronger than the K800 flash so therefore you can take pictures further away than K800, but without using 400 iso giving terrible water colour edges to the picture as in K800. Many K800 flash pictures are completely useless unless resized to less than 2MP equivalent. Maybe K850 is better than K800, but there is nothing wrong with K750 low light pics.

Pictures of night scenes, where flash or light are useless, come out very good if you under-expose slightly - this eliminates the K750 white lines problem. I have many awesome K750 night shots.

btw don't think that just because your phone is good that all are the same. Even on the K750 I saw wide variety of quality of camera modules, even to the extent of swapping camera modules from one phone to another and seeing a change in quality of the pictures as a result. So I think it's perfectly feasible that some people have dodgy cameras. No need to accuse people of making it up or of being bad photographers.
