Has anyone had any luck using Orb.com with a K850i? |

I've seen a couple of references to orb.com on the forums, but mostly it's in the Symbian seciton. I recall I had little luck with the app with my k790 but that was over a year ago. Now their newest version allows you to stream movies, music and even LIVE TV from your own computer (with a TV tuner for the TV part naturally). I'm using it with pretty good success with my HTC TyTN (AT&T 8525) but I had no luck with my wife's SE w810i... I keep getting an error when trying to open the media. Now I know it works even with just EDGE because I'm slowing down my network connection on my TyTN to EDGE speed to extend the battery life so I know that's not the issue - something about the netfront browser doesn't seem to want to launch the streaming media.
If you have a K850 and would like to try this - just go to http://test.orb.com/streamtest and test out the streams available. If it works, then you can create an account on the orb.com web site, it's Free, and then install the client on your home computer and try to get the media streaming from there.
Please post some feedback so that the rest of us would know if this works. This is almost a deal-breaker on the k850 for me at this point.
Thanks

There are 3 different 3gp settings that you can select once you setup orb on your computer. If you access your account at mycast.orb.com from your mobile phone and check the settings you'll see the different 3gp options - .sdp, 3GP-AAC/RTSP and 3GP-AMR/RTSP. There's also an option to stream it in Flash but I'm not sure that'll work on the K850.
Anyone else try it? It's about the coolest app I can think of - being able to stream all of your music from your home computer? Who needs large SD/M2 cards when you can do that even on EDGE speeds? Nobody else excited about this?

WOW! Is there so little interest in this great product or does it just not work?
I have made some media available on my public site:
http://public.orb.com/rudypeev
There are three different "Channels" - the first one is 10 mp3 tracks, and the next two are short samples of the movies Next and Shoot-em Up. I would really appreciate if someone with a K850 could try to play these and post on here the results. I believe that once on the site with your phone, the orb server automatically detects what format it should play when attempting to stream based on the device connecting.

I appreciate your reply, however I now have a K850 and am unable to play ANY of my media from home. I am able to play everything at http://test.orb.com on the amr/aac setting but just can't get any of my home media to play Anyone else have any experience with this?
Thanks!

Nobody? Is no one interested in this great product or is it that nobody's been able to get it to work? I had it working flawlessly on my WM6 device and I'm very disappointed that it just won't work on my SE

i know this is an old post, but I managed to get audio streamed to my k850i using real media setting. all the other settings just stare at me blankly.
I also manage to get the webcam streaming with rm. But only a little. I don't think my pc is up to the real time encoding.
