got totally fed up with my K850 on vodafone and finally binned it back to them (after 6 replacement ones!!!) because of all the faultsiam going to go for the K770, anyone got this and have any comments?i had the K800 and pound for pound feel this is the ebst handset i have ever used, my main use for a phone (apart from calls) is the camera and all other 3MP cameras and above dont compare to the SE cybershotsthe new samsung ones are so slow when taking picture its unreal, just had that F700 and while its a nice phone the camera delay on taking a picture is unreal, you lose the moment and end up with blurred pictures if moving items are in shotthanks

Why don't you go for the K810i? It has a better camera, and looks better.

The K770 camera doesn't have the full zoom capabilities like the K810 camera.

The K770 is im sorry to say just another Sony Ericsson excuse to stick a Cyber shot sticker on a phone & people fall for it thinking it has a top notch camera.

If you want a decent camera go for the K810.

thanks for that. i currently use the k800, is the 810 enough of a change though, it looks the same?
is the 3.2 camera on the 770 not as good as the 810 or the 800? i thought they are the same?
thanks

The K770 camera is ok but its a backwards step in useability from a K800 / K810 or even a correctly working ( if there is such a thing ) K850.

If you want to take decent pictures & use the camera zoom at the same then the K770 isnt for you.

I want the K810 but I'm worried about weak joystick. I'm gonna go with K770.

The joysticks are fine if you keep the dirt out of them plus you always have the warranty to fall back on.

You should go with k770,It looks so cool compared to K800 or k810i
it slim and beautiful.I just tried out Se 770i ,k800,k810i,t650i, k770 is one of best i would say ,and there is no joystick problem, wht u loose slight image quality and flash at the expense of good looking device compared to k800 or k810

I can't really agree that the K770 takes worse images than the K800/K810. Sure, it doesn't have xenon flash so indoor or low light shots might suffer, but I actually feel it takes better outdoor pictures than either of those other two phones. Better color representation, no strange white overcast or contrast problems, and far less noise reduction.

Had K770 2 weeks now. No problems to report. Battery seems to be giving excellent longevity. Sick of hearing oooo K810 better, oooo k850 better still, you keep whining about software problems and taking em back for a replacement. I recommend K770 to all, no problems with joystick or getting dust between screen cover and lcd requiring phone being dismantled for a good clean up like my K750. My K750 has served me well for many a year and the K770 is more than a worthy replacement above 810 or 850. PS If you want a good camera!! then buy a camera not a phone.

And for the record. You only need 2mp camera for printable 6x4 or 7x5 prints. Never choose any camera because of its digital zoom. Optical zoom will always be king on close ups without loss of quality. Digital zoom severly reduces quality as any photographer knows because of the pixalling it causes when used. Buying anything over 3mp only costs you more memory space per shot = need for bigger memory cards. Who gets prints developed A4 size?? even on your computer screen 2mp is fine, so 3.2mp on K770 is more sufficient for snaps. Which is all any phone camera is good for.

I have consider the K770 many times. the plus: it's slim, pretty good looking and no FREAKING joystick. too bad its availability is an issue for me.
