When sending emails out with a hyperlink from the net, the recipitents cannot directly cick on the link, so it will take them to the relevant webpage.
Is is something I need to enable on my mail, or will it be an Virgin Media issue.
I am using Microsoft Office Outlook on Microsoft Office 2003.

It might be because you are not composing mail in HTML format? Go to tools - options - mail format and make sure html is selected.
Does it happen to every recipient or just a few? Do they get an error message or does it just do nothing? Thing is, the two most common causes for this are to do with the recipients computer rather than yours or your ISP. Either they do not have a default browser associated with Outlook or they have automatic downloading turned off.

I have checked the settings you have mentioned, and it is set to HTML.
The strange thing was, I sent a mail to myself, and the link was dead also. It doees tend to be ok with some people.

Hmmm... I've never heard of an ISP disabling links in outgoing messages but I guess we can't rule it out! Have you got Norton or something similar? Checked everything in there?
Or try using <a href=".......">link</a> just to see if it works?
EDIT: Just remembered, I installed Virgin Media for somebody recently and it wanted to download a security app of some sort. I'm wondering if that might have found it's way on to your PC?

I use Avast Antivirus on the Pc at the moment, but this has happened even before I started using this.
I have never installed a security app off virgin media, that I know of.
