hi i got the K850i off ebay on its day of release but recently the shutter wont open on the camera, i did a quick search and found another topic about this and they suggested to send the phone back under warrenty, but i checked the sony ericsson website and they say for the item to be under warrenty i have to have a valid recipt and bought it from an offical sony erricsson retailer or something along them lines, how do i go about getting this problem fixed?
thanks |

You could try to request the receipt from the seller on ebay?
Other than that i'm not too sure, unless you could take it to a SE service centre yourself and ask

Plank,
This is a problem with the K850, not the ebay seller.

Mine does this all the time.
Either a power-off-power-on sorts it, or i have to remove the battery for a few seconds. I think its firmware-related, rather than mechanical. |

tried doing the power off and removing the battery with no luck. i also tried connecting the phone to my pc and updating the firmware but it says its up to date.
i contacted SE and they said:
"Thank you for contacting the Sony Ericsson Call Centre.

Please find below the postal address for the end user Sony Ericsson approved service location. We suggest you send your Sony Ericsson product via recorded delivery, for your peace of mind when it is in the post. We ask that you include your address, a fault description, and a copy of your proof of purchase with the IMEI number on it.
