Hi
Tried looking for a transparent skin for the k850i on the web (UK) but couldn't find any. Something like this:
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/1972.htm
I have already bought a black rubber silicone skin but that makes the keypad completely invisible! and also it doesn't cover the screen. So would really like one of these transparent skins which covers both the keypad and the screen. Would appreciate help in finding one of these in UK.
Cheers! |

I'm surprised more people don't know about this product. I have this on my 30gb ipod and my w810i. It is thin enough that it allows my ipod to still fit in all docking stations and does not affect screen clarity. It takes a little patience to install, but once on, it stays on and is scratch proof. People don't even know it is there. Has a life-time warranty, they will charge you for shipping of replacement though. If you take a look at the w810i full-body shield, that is what I'm hoping they release for the k850i. Spoke to a rep that said they have yet to get their hands on a k850 and that if I sent one in they would do it custom. He said it would cost a bit more though, but then they would have the k850 template. Ask me, keep cost the same and we both benefit. They get a template, I get a k850i body shield. Anyway I highly reconmend this stuff. Gives you piece of mind to put your phone in your pocket w/o having to think about it.

Hi Eddie
thanks for that. thinking of getting a custom-made invisibleshield for my k850i, so will supplying only the dimensions of the phone be sufficient? Can't really send the phone from UK to US just so that they can use it as a template! Also will the shield cover the camera flash, shutter, keypad buttons?

duh! wasn't looking properly on their wesbite, they do make one for the K850i. Anyway just ordered the full body one @ $24.95 + $3.20 shipping to UK (can't wait for 3 weeks for free shipping!). Will let you know how i find it.

that shield doesn't really look impressive. Quite expencive, and if your device gets scratched, they only provide you with a new shield.
just take good care of your device, mine devices hardly get scratched, only from falling down alot.
And if you really want something strong, wait for nokia to use their nano technology
With Ericsson and Nokia gone: we must keep their spirits alive and buy JOLLA or YOTA |

Have you tried it ? Worth every penny I spent on mine. Whats the point of putting any kind of protection on your phone if it doesn't protect it? It's scratch proof(better the shield take a hit than the device) and on top of that is hardly noticeable unless you look for it and allows your device to still fit in any kind of dock that is available for it.

There is a picture of it installed if you scroll down. The only reason you might need a replacement is the edges may start to collect dirt and peel after some time. (years)

An extra case to a cell phone can really protect a cell phone, either skin case made of silicone or a hard plastic case. An easy as protector for those who want to take care of their phones.
However, for those who do not need to or want to, a case is an useless extra item. |
