A Little bit more than a quote but inspirational none the less is this poem by Mr.Kipling (Rudyard that is, not the fella who makes cakes though they could be the same I suppose)

I have a few which I live by,
one is 'never regret anything that once made you smile' (although I guess psychopaths shouldn't follow it)
Here's a part from my graduation speech.
An adventurer walked into a tavern one day after a long day of questing. He saw a hooded man in the corner who he was told was a very wise person.
He walked up to him.
"Oh wise one, I'm on a quest to find a golden sword, what should I do?" He said
The wise man looked up and said "To find it, you must battle internal struggles, search for the unsearchable, and travel to the harshest ends of the earth...... or you can ask that guy over there"
(Moral? Don't over complicate things)
Finally, the one I always think of
"A wise man learns from his mistakes, a wiser man learns from other's mistakes"
