Why does eveyone feel the need to keep photoshopping that pic? PK has already said its close to the real thing and the real thing will be revealed on the 15th which is only 9 days so lets all calm down. I just hope the phone itself doesnt let SE down in the fashion the P990 did.

I hope SE put VGA 30fps video in it also.

So many possibilities for the keyboard...

I've got an image in my mind of something springloaded that kind of pulls down and then folds over the lower part of the screen. Can't really explain the engineering, but it makes some sort of sense to me...

Being a p raneg device I doubt it will be as good as a cybershot branded one but still should be more than acceptable. Hopefully as good as the Veiwty and G600. Also regarding video with such a big screen they simply have to put VGA video in.

I wonder how the GPS system will square up against the N95s.

doministry, if you want to write tones of text on such a small device, and feel the P1 type keyboard is not good for you, buy a external bt keyboard...i donīt think any PDA type keyboard is good for entering really LONG texts over hours of work...

and i have to say, what i want is a SMALL and SLIM powerfull smartphone, and the P1 type of keyboard alows that, more than a full qwerty...so i really hope they use it on the P5...and this is my opinion

Try not to compare the N95 with the P5i as the P5i kicks the N95's a$$ big time.

Well done

Ok, my P910i is dying on me already... I'm waiting and waiting and waiting for the W960i (which, given all the friggin delays might come out later than the P5i... )

If the P5i announcement becomes official on the 15th, I'm getting a K810i/K850i to tie me over til the P5i.

Silly question perhaps but on the original photoshop it had the walkman 3 interface. Is that the media interface for the P5 or is it the normal UIQ type one?

No no no. I've also tried P1.
For me it's like no discussion.

I wonder how long you tried it... 10 minutes? 1 day? There's no question that it's an innovative design and as such it takes some time to adjust to it - it took me at least 2-3 days to get fluent with my M600i - but once you do, it really is superb. The best trade-off between pocketability and a full-size keyboard, in my opinion.

The Tytn II's board is good, and I'm quite happy using it, but it's still undeniably bigger and bulkier than SE's solution.

I mean, I don't know how they'll resolve the keyboard in P5, but P1 keyb. is a bit like a joke for a business use.

Worked just fine for me, for a year.

Sorry, it's my opinion, for smsing or simple mailing it's gr8, but for writing like 20 pages it's pain.

For writing 20 pages most mobile keyboards aren't ideal, the Tytn's included, but the SE's is up there with most of them. I actually find it more ergonomic than most, since there's no reaching and every key is immediately accessable in a smaller space.

P990 has separate tactile feedback for each key. You feel a different key under your finger.

Just as you do with the P1/M600. You feel the individual key ridges, left and right, which is effectively the same thing - you just have to stop seeing them as the same button. Which, with a little practice, you do.

I didn't ever see any computer keyb. like P1. Guess why?

I didn't ever see any computer keyboard like the P990's, or the Tytn's, or the E90's, or any other mobile keyboard you can mention - all the ones attached to computers are a lot bigger, and have completely different keys. Guess why?

Face it, any mobile keyboard is a compromise, the trick is just to get the compromise right.

If they'll release amazing P5 with this keyb. I will consider switching from Pseries to a real business device. TyTn II? I don't like that idea, but...

I use the Tytn II now, it's a fantastic device, but the keyboard isn't really any better, or faster, or more comfortable, than the M600i's I was using before. Seriously.
