jb: Transfering mp3's to the phone can be done with the USB port beneath the phone. Check out the virtual Neonode N1 on their website and you'll see a USB-port under the phone...

Furthermore: Neonode can send the development kit to everyone who desires... again, check out their website...

The thruth is, nobody knows what the exact specifications of the Neonode N1 (like radio performance, features like calendar, profiles, customiez settings and etc.) will be untill Neonode issues another press release with the exact specifications.
No point to diss a product we still don't have all the specs on...

So untill we do, I think we should stop arguing over this and maybe continue this argument in late january/early february...

Personally I would like a small phone with 1 GB SD-Card and with the capability watch movies on, (for when I'm sitting on the train or taking a bus)
Or even better: instead of mp3, I could watch music videos!
I know that the P800 can do the same thing, but for me it's too big and bulky and I don't need the PDA functions (got Ipaq) and the max Memorysticks there is to find for the moment is 128 mb.... not enough for me (pluss I'm a MMC/SD-person...)

@geoffreyw: And I suppose this last post of yours was not a 'waste of everybody else's time and bandwidth'? FYI, public forums are for discussions between people. If you want 'actual facts' and 'documented features' then read the specs, don't come here.

@Armin: P800 uses Memory Stick Duo's (different than ordinary Memory Sticks) and I think there are only 16MB available now. MSDuo's with more memory will be available later, but, if you read the 'P800 User Manual' you'll see that P800 will support MSDuo's up to only 128MB. So, even if they do release (I don't know whether it is possible) a MSDuo card with 256MB (or 512MB or 1GB) you will not be able to use it in P800. MMC/SD card slot (and a 1GB card ) would have been a much better choice. Neonode rules...

I would prefer the P800 instead that microsoft monopoly toy.
I was two years nokia user (noka 8290) and today I made the switch and chose the T68i, because they (nokia) don't make bigs improves. did you check the titanium 8890 (the new one). is just the same as the old 8890.
I has many pda's, my favorite was the Ipaq, but I switch to Palm because the microsoft sofware and support is sooo bad!

And one thing, I heard that you need and Verisign security seal for make programs for SmartPhone 2002 (win ce phone version) and pay like US$1,300 for just a piece of paper. It's so stupid from microsoft.

hate to break ur 1st time poster bubble but:

1)The new 8890 IS the same as the old one with a new cover
2)The N1 is NOT made by microsoft
3)The version of windows CE is customised by neonode - o and windows ce does NOT contain software protection

Re: Titaniaum

The reason why I ask is that I follow Nokia on the stockmarket and their finance results.
Could you please tell me about their losses last I year?

Don't you hear stalkers always in some small way envy their stalkees? Isn't that exactly why they stalk their stalkees?

You may have more love for SE than you care to admit. There's love in that boy, aye, there is.

ok so the neonode will be around $500 which is about £350. but is this on contract or sim free, because i'm on pay as you go and i only buy phones offline, so for a great phone like this to be £350ish on contract, it could be 500-600 sim free which isnt too good

want the best for their customers is completely ridiculous. They aren't releasing them because they CAN'T and not because they DON'T WANT to.

Judging by the way you reason I'd say you don't have a clue what you are talking about.

There is much to be said about the reasons for SE not releasing phones in the same way as Nokia; but what you are saying is ignorant and simply off the point.

My point precisely.

But I *bet* that "in doing so" you are entering some kind of evil license agreement ...

This does indeed seem like an interesting phone, and good luck to the people at Neonode for the release. If it is released on time, I bet this will be a hit, I doubt it however. Small phone companies are notorious for delaying their products, and their product launches are usually lacklustre at best. Remember the Z100 folks? It's cancelled now, it was supposed to the THE uber phone. Here in Norway we had Magcom as well, another failure, along with countless others full of hope.

Nokia and are among the top spenders on Phone R&D in the world, and you are telling me these Companies get outsmarted by a bunch of guys from Sweden? Oh please.

@Faca
If you think are such incompetent fools, then I guess that puts the love of your life(Nokia) knee deep in shit then, seeing as they have NOTHING to compete with P800. You just wait for the Neonode man, wait wait wait wait wait..........I'm sure its gonna be great!
