K850i is a great phone, it might not do everything this Japanese phone does, but its a lot smaller, looks a lot nicer, and I would still take a K850i over a okia or this SO9O whatever its called.

I'm surprised everybody's only been complaining about only the Japanese having this phone...
Doesn't the specs say it supports GSM networks.....? Doesn't that at least mean that the phone can ACTUALLY be used in the rest of the world? I'm sure when the phone is released there will be importers carrying it. |

I'm sure the network-specific functions won't work such as video calling.
But at least you still get the cool-factor AND the camera. And of course the phone. And GPS? |

This phone would be locked to NTTDocomo's network in Japan and they allow their own Japanese customers to roam abroad as part of their contract.

Finally saw the pictures!!!~~~ Got both bad & good news.... The photo looks like taken with k850....(jagged edges...) which means, K850 IS ALSO USING THE SAME EXMOR SENSOR!!!~~~ xD Fingers cross millions of times~~~:p

I am afraid it's MOAP. FOMA is Japan-specific WCDMA version, just like UMTS in worldwide AFAIK. |
